"Amadeus Brass Quintet" was founded in the year 2000 by
a colombian trombonist, Rodrigo Mora Pinzón. Since then, the group has participated in numerous concerts and festivals in Austria and Europe. In February, 2004, the ensemble was awarded the "cultural prize of Tullnerfeld" (in Lower Austria). |

was
born, in Bogota, Columbia. He began studying music theory and trombone
from 1985-89
in the Music School of Columbia`s Youth Symphony Orchestra,
where he served as
instrumentalist and trombone soloist. In 1989, he participated in
courses given by Professor
Armin Rossin inMunich. In 1990, he began studies at the
University of Music and the
Performing Arts in Vienna, under Professor Dietmar Kueblboeck
and Professor Peter Farkas.
In 1992, he enrolled in the Music Conservatory of Vienna,
in the Jazz Sector. From 1990-2000,
Mr. Pinzon has performed with avariety of european orchestras, as
instrumentalist and soloist.
Since 1996, he has lead trombone seiminars at several Columbian
universities. In September,
2000, he accepted teaching positions in the Schools of Music in
Neulengbach and Traismauer,
in Lower Austria
