"Amadeus Brass Quintet" was founded in the year 2000 by
a colombian trombonist, Rodrigo Mora Pinzón. Since then, the group has participated in numerous concerts and festivals in Austria and Europe. In February, 2004, the ensemble was awarded the "cultural prize of Tullnerfeld" (in Lower Austria). |

born in Eugene, Oregon, USA. At 17, he was awarded the coveted
”John Philip Sousa Award.” He attended university
in Boulder, Colorado, where he received his Bachelor`s Degree
in Music Education in 1976. He continued his studies in Nashville,
Tennessee, where he was graduated with a Masters of Science in
Music Performance Degree from Peabody College. Following the recommendation
of his trumpet professor, Mr. Patrick McGuffey, he traveled to
Vienna, Austria and began studying trumpet with Professor Helmut
Wobisch. In 1981, he signed a contract as solo trumpeter in Vienna`s
Raimund-Theater, and in 1987 his contract was extended
to include the three theaters of the Vienna Theater Group.
His children`s musical, ”The King`s Garden,”
was published in 1999 by Speedy Music Publishers. Mr.
Pfister has an active recording and touring career, teaches brass
instruments at the Laabental School of Music,
and conducts the town band in Altlengbach, Lower
Austria
